According to the structure, the corona ring is divided into ordinary closed ring, bird-proof cover closed ring, and open ring; according to the material, it is divided into: die-casting aluminum, aluminum tube, stainless steel tube.
All the above-mentioned rings are of drainage structure, that is, when the composite insulator is in operation due to pollution flashover or lightning flashover, the current will be directly led to the end of the fitting, instead of flowing through the end sheath and crimping part. This protects the seal from damage and the crimp from thermal expansion, which reduces the grip strength of the fitting.
